Fans are beginning to believe that the Chicago Bears front office made a terrible decision this offseason and it's one that's starting to backfire.

Heading into a fresh start with a new franchise quarterback, the Bears opted to retain head coach Matt Eberflus, allowing him to bring in a whole new staff around him.

After eight games, the seat is starting to heat back up and fast under Eberflus.

I'm not saying that the Bears should move on from Eberflus following another embarrassing loss on the road, but the unprecedented move might be coming soon.

The Bears have never fired a head coach during the middle of a season, never once in the long history of the organization. However, there's an obvious disconnect somewhere inside the building right now and something needs to be done about it.

It certainly seems like the players have lost trust in the majority of the coaching staff, mainly in Eberflus and offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, for the lack of meaningful adjustments and accountability. Multiple times already this season players have said something publicly about the coaching.

Over the last week, Eberflus mentioned multiple times that everyone needs to stay together, including just before halftime against the Cardinals. That's not a good look.

And the stats aren't helping Eberflus' case. After Sunday's loss, the Bears are now 3-17 on the road under Eberflus and have yet to win a road game on a Sunday. Overall, the Eberflus has a record of 14-28 after today's game.

The players are clearly frustrated and rightfully so. Every game, the Bears are dealing with the same issues over and over again with no plans being put in place to fix it.

The offense led by talented rookie quarterback Caleb Williams continues to be an embarrassment. In the first quarter this season, the Bears have scored 10 total points in eight games and starting fast has been something Waldron has said multiple times his unit needs to get better at. Yet, nothing has changed.

The Bears are also playing undisciplined football, committing horrible penalties over and over that ruin drives on offense and defense.

At 4-4, the Bears are still sitting in a decent spot on the season but will have a gauntlet of a schedule coming up in a few weeks. If things continue this direction or even get worse in the coming weeks, the front office will be forced to make the tough decision.
