Velus Jones Jr. was selected to bring speed and playmaking ability to the Chicago Bears' offense.

But so far, the rookie receiver hasn't been able to do so due to an injury he sustained during the preseason. Due to the injury, Jones Jr. has been flip flopping between being a limited participant and a lone spectator during practice this season.

That hasn't changed one bit just yet, but what has changed is the tone of Matt Eberflus when it comes to making a decision on Jones Jr.'s potential NFL debut.

If Jones Jr. can return, he'll bring a new element of speed to a receiving group that needs difference makers.

That isn't to say Jones Jr. will be that difference maker, but his skill-set certainly gives him the opportunity to become one, and an important one at that.
