The Chicago Bears are less than a month away from the 2024 NFL Draft and will be in full control of the opening night with the first and ninth overall selections. However, the Bears will only have two picks left after the first round as it currently stands.

General manager Ryan Poles is seemingly okay with that fact given the level of depth in this year's class, but what happens if the Bears' top executive gets even more aggressive to land another top prospect in the draft after the first overall pick?

In this mock draft, I'll explore that scenario by having the Bears trade up from their second pick in the Top-10 with the Los Angeles Chargers. In this trade, I'll have the Bears trade the #9 pick, the #75 pick, and a 2025 second round pick in exchange for the Chargers #5 pick and #253 pick. Here's how this mock could look for the Bears:

1st Overall Pick: QB Caleb Williams

The Bears are all but confirmed to select Caleb Williams with the first overall pick in the draft and if not for all the theatrics the league wants to put on for the event, this could have already been a done deal.

Williams is one of the top prospects to enter the draft ever, and will be walking into the best situation a first overall pick has ever walked into during his first year in the league. Good things are on the horizon for the Bears with Williams potentially being the one that could finally be the savior in Chicago.

5th Overall Pick (via LAC): WR Marvin Harrison Jr.

After moving up with the Chargers, the Bears' aggressive move in this mock pays off in a massive way by landing the top wide receiver prospect in the class to pair with their new franchise quarterback. Coming away with Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr. would be a dream come true for the city of Chicago and the league would be stunned.

The interest between the two sides is real with the Bears bringing Harrison in for a 30 visit later today. With the ninth overall pick, the Bears are well outside Harrison's range but, as this mock suggests, are not completely out of the hunt for the top receiver. Just imagine Williams having Harrison, DJ Moore, and Keenan Allen to throw to.

122nd Overall Pick: DE Mohamed Kamara

Because of the trade up to land Harrison, the Bears are left without a second, third, and fourth round selections with their next selection not coming until the 122nd overall pick. With that pick, the Bears' front office can finally make head coach Matt Eberflus' dream come true by landing another edge rusher to line up opposite of defensive end Montez Sweat.

The defense led by Eberflus and defensive coordinator Eric Washington will be dependent on the defensive line and finding another edge rusher in the draft seems like a priority. In this mock, that need is met with Colorado State's Mohamed Kamara, who racked up 13.0 sacks in 2023 and 5.0+ sacks in each of the last three seasons.

253rd Overall Pick (via LAC): OL Dylan McMahon

The last area of need heading into the 2024 season for the Bears is adding more depth on the offensive line. Poles mentioned earlier in the process that the depth up-front over the last two seasons has frustrated him and he has clearly looked to change that this offseason though the Bears' free agent additions.

With the additional late pick from the Chargers coming to the Bears, Poles could look to add another value piece to the offensive line room in NC State's Dylan McMahon. McMahon has experience at all three interior positions: center, left guard, and right guard. His versatility will make for a valuable asset on the offensive line going forward.
