On Sunday, the Chicago Bears and 29 other franchises watched by on the couch as the Philadelphia Eagles decimated the Kansas City Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX.
Now, the playing field is even again. All 32 teams in the NFL are back to 0-0 with sights set on hoisting themselves Lombardi Trophy following Super Bowl LX.
And the Bears' social media team is already getting everyone ready to run through a brick wall by setting the early tone for 2025.
Mere moments after the clocks hit zero, the Bears posted this hype video for the 2025 season featuring quotes from franchise quarterback Caleb Williams and new head coach Ben Johnson, a combination that is already bringing a lot of excitement.
The video also featured the post game reaction following the team's Week 18 win over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, the team's first of many wins in 2025.
But now, it's the start of a new season and the Bears have a lot of work to do in the coming weeks to build a roster worthy of competing in a Super Bowl.
Path To Super Bowl LX Starts In The Trenches
One thing was clear watching the Eagles win the Super Bowl on Sunday. The trenches matter, more than anything else on the roster.
The Eagles' offensive and defensive front dominated the game from start to finish. Offensively, quarterback Jalen Hurts was sacked just two times and was held up in the pocket for the majority of the night. On defense, the Eagles' four-man rush generated six sacks and tormented Patrick Mahomes for the entire game.
The Eagles have invested a ton of capital into both units and it's a main reason why the team reached two Super Bowls in a three year span. Even the Chiefs boasted a strong offensive and defensive front in route to a Super Bowl berth.
It's clear having a strong offensive and defensive line is the recipe for success in the NFL and the Bears have glaring weaknesses at both of those position groups.
Over the next several weeks, the Bears are going to need to attack the trenches with urgency and cannot afford to take any half measures in doing so if they want to become one of the best teams in football. The rest of the roster is stacked, but those two areas can really hold the entire team back as we saw in 2024.
