The Chicago Bears got a massive boost on Sunday in regards to their 2024 NFL Draft position going into the final game of Week 10.

The Bears huge Thursday Night Football win over the Carolina Panthers certainly increased the Bears chances of landing a top pick, but the odds skyrocketed after Sunday's slate.

Following the Arizona Cardinals 25-23 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, the Bears now have sole possession of the #1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft with eight weeks to go in the 2023 season.

According to ESPN Analytics, the Bears have the best odds (39.3 percent) to land the top pick in the draft. The New York Giants are close behind with a 38.4 percent chance to lock in the first overall pick.

With one game still yet to be played in Week 10, here's the current draft order for the Top-5 picks in the 2024 NFL Draft via Tankathon.

Current 2024 NFL Draft Order

1. Chicago Bears via CAR (1-8)
2. New York Giants (2-8)
3. New England Patriots (2-8)
4. Arizona Cardinals (2-8)
5. Chicago Bears (3-7)

The Bears win over the Panthers helped open the door to outright have possession of the first overall pick, but dropped the Bears own selection down from #3 to #5 in the process. The Bears will have some work to do over their final seven games to drop their own selection back down the board.

With Kyler Murray back for the Cardinals, the only real threat standing in the way of the Bears having two picks in the Top-3 is the New York Giants and the New England Patriots. Both teams are riding three game losing streaks going into Week 11 and have no sign of showing any life over the final weeks of the season.

However, with the Bears now having control over the #1 pick in the draft thanks to the Panthers, things get interesting for Chicago. If the Bears stay at one by the end of the year, a real discussion needs to be had surrounding quarterback Justin Fields.

The top two expected picks in the 2024 NFL Draft are leaning to be used on quarterbacks Caleb Williams and Drake Maye in some fashion. If the Bears once again have the top selection, it'll be hard to justify not selecting a quarterback for the second straight year.

The Bears fanbase seems locked in on Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. with one of their top selections. Just for context, the last wide receiver selected first overall was Keyshawn Johnson after he was selected by the New York Jets in 1996.

It's been done before, and Harrison Jr. certainly has a strong case toward being the top prospect in the upcoming class. However, the Bears will have plenty of options if they end up with the #1 overall pick, and it all depends on where that second pick ends up at.
