The Chicago Bears added an absolute game-changer to the team when head coach Ben Johnson hired Dennis Allen to be the team's new defensive coordinator.

As a former Super Bowl-winning coordinator and two-time head coach, Allen brings a lot of experience to the staff and will bring a high-level of play to his unit.

With the New Orleans Saints, Allen's defense frequently ranked among the league's best by preaching two core values he now plans to bring to Chicago.

"We want to be an attacking, aggressive style of defense," Allen said during his introductory Zoom press conference. "We want to take the fight to the offense and not let the offense dictate the tempo to us. We're going to be aggressive. We're going to challenge everything. We're going to play the game the right way. We're going to play a tough, physical brand of football—the brand of football that you come to expect at the Chicago Bears."

Allen's new defense in Chicago features a lot of established play-makers. The Bears are set to bring back all 11 starters on that side of the ball and some upgrades could be made at a few positions, most notably finding another top pass rusher.

After Allen was hired to be the Bears' new DC, one of his former players in New Orleans started getting mentioned as a potential weapon Allen could bring along with him. That player is 8-time Pro Bowler Cameron Jordan.

Jordan's future in New Orleans was brought into question after the season came to an end given the team's cap constraints and the remaining terms of his contract. And after the Bears hired Bill Johnson, who coached Jordan for the first six years of his career, to help with the defense, the team had more than one connection.

However, Jordan put all of those hopes and dreams to rest last week.

"I'm NOT asking for a trade anywhere.. I'm BLACK & GOLD forever," Jordan said while appearing on the "Up and Adams Show" at Radio Row. "Who has a better chance to win than [the Saints]? We have all the talent."

So there you have it. Jordan has always been a New Orleans legend through and through. It seems like he's willing to play out the final years of his career with the Saints and believes in the roster to eventually compete for a Super Bowl.

Best of luck to him, but man the idea of adding a leader like Jordan, who's recorded 121.5 career sacks, was fun while it lasted.
