The Chicago Bears (2-5) are looking to keep the momentum going after winning two of their last three games as they face off against the Los Angeles Chargers (2-4).

It's set to be a very exciting environment in SoFi Stadium on Sunday Night Football between the two teams. The last time the Bears and Chargers faced off was also in Week 8 but during the 2019 season.

The Chargers, led by quarterback Phillip Rivers, came away with a one-point victory over the Bears, led by quarterback Mitch Trubisky. However, the Bears have won six of their last eight games head-to-head against the Chargers. A lot has changed between these two franchises since 2019, which makes this matchup even more riveting.

Before the game kicks off on Sunday night, here's everything you need to know.

How will the Bears offense look in Tyson Bagent's second start?

The Chicago Bears will once again be starting rookie quarterback Tyson Bagent against the Chargers on Sunday Night, but will the offense look the same as it did in Week 7's win over the Raiders?

In Week 7, the Bears relied heavily on the run game to keep Bagent comfortable on offense. The Bears had a season-high 38 carries as a team against the Raiders. Running back D'Onta Foreman led the offensive workload with 16 carries for 89 rushing yards and 3 total touchdowns.

Bagent only threw 29 times in the win, yet completed 21 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown. Given the progression of quarterback Justin Fields, this could be the Bears last chance to really let Bagent loose against the Chargers 32nd ranked pass defense. The Chargers are allowing 310.0 passing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks and have surrendered 12 passing touchdowns in 2023.

If the Bears really want to see what Bagent can do as the starting quarterback, they need to take the training wheels off on Sunday night. This would be their best opportunity to do so.

"We're always gonna look to stretch vertically and horizontally in the passing game," head coach Matt Eberflus said on Wednesday. "That's always something that we look at and you look at the defense that you're playing. If they give you those opportunities vertically, you're going to take those. You really are looking at those pockets [of the field] all the time which the defense gives you and attack those spaces."

As this season has shown, the Chargers defense will definitely be giving Bagent the opportunities to try and beat them through the air. Eberflus added on Friday that each week is different in terms of the scheme that is used on offense and that he's excited about the opportunity in front of Bagent this weekend.

3 other players to watch:

TE Marcedes Lewis- The Bears offense has shifted their offensive personnel usage over the last few weeks, resulting in a higher snap count for Lewis on offense. The run game has seen a massive upswing as a result and will hope to again on Sunday.

OG Teven Jenkins- Jenkins shifted over to right guard from left guard in Week 7 and the move was very beneficial for the entire group up-front. The Bears offense has seen some major improvements since Jenkins returned, proving how valuable he is.

DL Andrew Billings- The team's honorary captain from Week 6 will have a major role on Sunday locking down the interior of the trenches for the Bears. Billings will be a major part in condensing the pocket around Herbert and limiting Ekeler.
