The NFL released the official 2023 Pro Bowl rosters on Wednesday and one of the top names in the NFC was not selected.

Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore was snubbed from the Pro Bowl listed despite putting up career high numbers in his first season with his new team.

The Bears did have two defenders named to the Pro Bowl list: cornerback Jaylon Johnson and defensive end Montez Sweat, both of whom were named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in their respective careers.

After not being included among the rest of the top offensive players in the NFC, Moore took to social media to voice his reaction.

Moore's reaction is certainly warranted after being excluded from the list and not even being named as an alternate. The Bears top wide receiver has recorded 92 receptions for 1,300 receiving yards and 9 total touchdowns in 2023.

Moore's 1,300 receiving yards not only set a new single season career-high but also ranked seventh in the NFL and sixth among NFC players. The three of the four NFC Pro Bowl wide receivers who made the list; Rams Puka Nacua, Eagles A.J. Brown, and Cowboys CeeDee Lamb each had more receiving yards than Moore. Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans, the NFC's fourth Pro Bowl wide receiver, currently leads the NFL with 13 receiving touchdowns in 2023.

It's a tough group of players to be in contention with and it's disappointing for Moore who nearly was named to his first career Pro Bowl. The Bears fans definitely made it even closer of a decision. According to the fan voting, Moore had the sixth-most votes at the position, and fourth-most among NFC wide receivers trailing Lamb and 49ers duo Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel.

It's unfortunate news for Moore and the Bears fanbase hoping to see their top offensive weapon make the cut. Now the fans will only have one more game remaining in the 2023 season to watch their new wide receiver in action until the 2024 season kicks off.
