The Chicago Bears have announced their official inactives list leading up to their Week 17 home finale against the Atlanta Falcons.

The list included a surprising name, running back D'Onta Foreman, who was listed as a healthy inactive with no injury designation.

The rest of the team's inactives for Week 17 includes wide receiver Darnell Mooney, defensive back Quindell Johnson, linebacker DeMarquis Gates, quarterback Nathan Peterman, and offensive lineman Ja’Tyre Carter.

The Bears inactives list looks similar to their usual roster decisions they've made in weeks prior. Mooney, who was listed as out on Friday with a concussion, is the only Bears player who will miss Week 17 due to injury.

Foreman was listed as out in Week 16's win against the Arizona Cardinals after missing Thursday's practice and being limited during Friday's practice with a personal reason. The team's running back returned as a full participant on Wednesday and was removed entirely from the injury report ahead of Week 17.

However, Foreman now faces a familiar situation he was forced to deal with during the beginning of the 2023 season. Foreman was listed as a healthy inactive from Weeks 2-5 after making his debut in Chicago in Week 1. Foreman returned to action in Week 6 and has totaled 425 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns in 2023.

It's a shocking decision to once again make for the player who ranks third on the team in rushing yards and leads the team in rushing touchdowns. Foreman posted a interesting tweet on Saturday night which seems to make much more sense on Sunday.

As for the rest of the Bears inactives, Johnson and Carter will be usual healthy inactives for the team. Peterman will be the team's emergency third quarterback.

Gates is another expected inactive considering the team's health entering Week 17. Gates was officially signed off the team's practice squad two weeks ago and was mainly used in a special teams role while rookie Noah Sewell missed time due to a knee injury.
