The NFL Draft may have just happened, but draft fanatics are already pouring over scenarios for the next draft in 2024.

The Chicago Bears are armed with an extra first-round pick thanks to the trade with the Carolina Panthers that allowed the latter to move up for Bryce Young.

Having one first-round pick is usually enough to get fans anxious, having two just amplifies the eagerness.

Good news for fans, analysts are doing their best to get fans excited, as ESPN draft analyst, Jordan Reid just released his first 2024 NFL mock draft.

The picks aren't set in stone so the picks were determined by ESPN's Football Power Index. At pick No. 10, the Bears take Alabama EDGE, Dallas Turner:

What’s a Bears defense without a dominant pass rusher? It’s a staple of the franchise and they’re getting thin and old at the position since they had that incredible defense in 2019. In 2024, it’ll be time to reload at defensive end once more.

Plus, that’s already three Alabama players in the first 10 picks, making the Tide the standard once again when it comes to putting players in the league. – Jordan Reid, ESPN

Their next pick was at pick No. 11, and they gave Justin Fields more help:

Egbuka projects as an early number two option, with room to develop into a number one. He is a savvy route runner who can threaten on all three levels of the field. He has good top end speed, but there are some drop concerns, and he lacks top end elusiveness. – Jordan Reid, ESPN

Both of these players could be core pieces in the Bears rebuild. Even more importantly, there's another top resource used on a weapon for Fields, which would help further his development.
