The 2025 NFL Draft is less than a month away and who the Chicago Bears plan to target is still anyone's guess, which is a good thing.
The Bears front office led by general manager Ryan Poles did a fantastic job this offseason filling all of the top needs on the roster, putting the team in position to select the best player on the board with the highest grade, regardless of position.
Sitting with the 10th overall pick, the Bears will also be having to rely on some luck during the first nine selections to get their ideal guy, whoever that might be.
Some believe that player could be running back Ashton Jeanty or offensive lineman Will Campbell. Tight end Tyler Warren has even be discussed as of late.
The most ideal target for the Bears at 10 has to be defensive tackle Mason Graham. Graham is easily a Top-5 talent in this year's draft on the interior of the defensive line but being able to snag him at 10 would be wishful thinking, in fact some even believe the Bears should make an aggressive move to trade up if he starts falling.
In a perfect world, the Bears would just sit tight and have someone like Graham fall right into their laps. And it seems like a former NFL general manager lives in such a world based on his latest mock draft.
Mike Tannenbaum Has Bears Selecting DT Mason Graham
Mike Tannenbaum, the former New York Jets general manager turned ESPN analyst released his latest 2025 mock draft on Tuesday and had the Bears coming away with Graham, but missing out on some other top options.
Tannenbaum had the Raiders selecting Jeanty 6th overall and the Jets selecting Will Campbell 7th overall. He also had Mykel Williams, someone the Bears have been keeping tabs on, coming off the board before the Bears selection to the New Orleans Saints at 9.
Landing Graham at 10 wouldn't just a consolidation prize, it's a slam dunk for Chicago. Here's Tannenbaum's reasoning for the pick and who else he considered at 10.
"Penn State's Tyler Warren could be a great addition to the tight end room, and Ohio State tackle Josh Simmons would only continue the significant offensive line rework of the Bears' offseason. But Graham is still on the board, and the Bears would love to have a dominant pass-rushing defensive tackle — even after signing Grady Jarrett and Dayo Odeyingbo. Graham has excellent physical traits and plays with great technique. His wrestling background is very apparent when you watch him play; he has great balance and leverage, which helped him produce 3.5 sacks and 26 pressures last year in Ann Arbor." – ESPN's Mike Tannenbaum
Snagging Graham here at 10 would be incredible value for the Bears and it's a perfect match. Poles discussed how you can never have enough pass rushers and adding Graham to the interior with Gervon Dexter, Grady Jarrett, and Andrew Billings would give the unit four stout interior pass rushers.
The Bears also sent a strong calvary to Ann Arbor last week for the Michigan Pro Day led by head coach Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Dennis Allen to get their eyes on some of the top Wolverine prospects, Graham included.
It's hard to see a more ideal first-round for Chicago than this.
