Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields left the game early in the third quarter on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings and did not return with a hand injury.

It's now been revealed that Fields suffered a dislocated thumb on his throwing hand and will receive more MRI testings on Monday.

It's definitely uncertain news for the Bears going into the week ahead concerning their starting quarterback. The Bears ultimately lost 19-13 to the Vikings on Sunday, and now sit at 1-5 on the season.

After the loss, head coach Matt Eberflus spoke to the media and further addressed the injury suffered by his starting quarterback.

"[Fields] wanted to come back in the game, but he could just couldn't grip the ball to throw it right now," Eberflus said. "So, we'll see where it is. With the MRI, we'll have more information tomorrow and that's where it is."

Fields was 6/10 passing with 58 yards, 1 interception and an additional 46 yards on the ground before leaving the game. Undrafted rookie quarterback Tyson Bagent replaced Fields in the third quarter and finished the game with 83 passing yards, a rushing touchdown, and two turnovers.

Despite the concerning stat line on the box score, Eberflus expressed his confidence remains in his backup quarterback and felt that he played "good" overall.

"We believe in Tyson," he said. "You know, we obviously had him at number two for a reason and we feel strong about that."

Fields wasn't the only injury the Bears suffered in Week 6. Right guard Nate Davis and safety Eddie Jackson also left the game during the loss. Davis left the game with an ankle injury and Jackson suffered another injury to his foot.

Here's what Eberflus had to say after the game regarding the two additional losses.

"[In regards to Davis], we'll see where it is tomorrow." Eberflus added. "We'll get more information on that as well. And then Eddie, he left the game and was questionable, but could have came back. He injured his foot a little bit in during the game, didn't feel 100%, but he could have came back if we needed them due to injury."

Ja'Tyre Carter replaced Davis at right guard after he exited the game. Tomorrow seems like it'll be an important day to monitor regarding the extent of the injuries suffered by Fields and Davis on Sunday.
