Pitts reached the Pro-Bowl this past season as a rookie after recording 68 receptions for 1,026 yards and one touchdown.

That's an insane line for a rookie tight end. Typically, that's a position where it takes a little longer for a player to find their groove (tight ends are asked to do a lot in regards to blocking/running routes).

Maybe one day Pitts will wear a Bears uniform — I'm sure Fields is talking Chicago up to him.

But it will have to wait a while. The Falcons will almost certainly pick up Pitts' fifth-year option after the 2023 season.

As for the relationship between Pitts and Fields? I'm guessing the two got to know each other during the recruiting process. Fields originally signed with Georgia and Pitts went to Florida. They were in the same recruiting class so I'm sure their paths crossed quite a bit.
