Vibes are at an all time high for the Chicago Bears. The team is fresh off the biggest win of the season after dominating the defending champs on the road to improve to 9-3 on the season and head coach Ben Johnson even celebrated in the best way possible to further reward the city of Chicago.

All eyes are now onto the Week 14 date at Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers, the team right on the Bears’ heels in the NFC North race. There’s no wiggle room here and the Bears need to continue to keep the main thing the main thing.

At the same time, the Bears do get a little down time after the short week before preparing for the Packers but one player just got hit with some bad news on the day off to knock down his spirits.

DJ Moore fined by the NFL for taunting against the Steelers back in Week 12

Before the Bears’ big win over the Eagles, the team took down the Pittsburgh Steelers the week before on Sunday at Soldier Field. During the win, wide receiver DJ Moore was penalized for taunting after he tossed the football at Steelers cornerback James Pierre following a 15-yard catch. Moore, fortunately, was able to make up for it with a touchdown two plays later, but the bill comes due.

On Saturday, the NFL released the list of fines for Week 12 and hit Moore with a $11,593 fine and it’s something he saw coming from a mile away considering how taunting has been enforced this year.

“I plead the fifth,” Moore told reporters in the locker room after the win over the Steelers when asked if he deserved the taunting penalty. It certainly seems like the league believed he deserved more than the penalty for his actions, as soft as it may seem.

Taunting has been something the league has cracked down on all season. In Week 12 alone, Moore was one of four players to get fined for some sort of taunting violation. It seems like something that should be left in the past and is irrelevant now, but Moore certainly isn’t smiling about it today.
