The Bears have received much praise for their offseason moves to this point.
Landing DJ Moore was especially praised, as getting weapons for Justin Fields was a priority. The team also beefed up the offensive line by adding Nate Davis and strengthened the defense by signing Tremaine Edmunds.
However, one national media outlet thinks the Bears didn't do as well as their NFC North foes.
PFF recently tweeted out their grades for each NFL team's free agency moves.
The Bears' moves were only graded higher than the Green Bay Packers.
The Lions and Vikings received A- grades, the Bears received a B, and the Packers received a C-.
While the Bears certainly did not receive a failing grade, it's interesting that they did not receive a higher mark.
Getting multiple picks AND a star receiver from the Panthers, landing an elite linebacker, and improving the offensive line all make the team worthy of an 'A' grade.
Let's take a look at notable additions and subtractions for the NFC North teams:
Lions
In: CJ Gardner-Johnson, David Montgomery, Cam Sutton, Emmanuel Moseley
Out: Jamaal Williams, DJ Chark
Vikings
In: Byron Murphy, Josh Oliver, Marcus Davenport
Out: Patrick Peterson, Adam Thielen, Dalvin Tomlinson
Packers
In: Tarvarius Moore, Rudy Ford
Out: Aaron Rodgers*, Allen Lazard, Robert Tonyan
Bears
In: DJ Moore, TJ Edwards, Tremaine Edmunds, Nate Davis, D'Onta Foreman
Out: David Montgomery, Riley Reiff
The argument could be made that the Bears lost the least amount of production of all NFC North teams.
Losing Montgomery could be a big deal, but the addition of D'Onta Foreman could easily make up for it. The Bears could take a tackle with the ninth pick in the draft who could easily replace Rieff.
Ryan Poles has done a fantastic job of adding talent to the Bears' roster this offseason. It will be interesting to see how PFF grades the Bears' draft picks.
