The secondary for the Chicago Bears might have just gotten a huge morale boost on Wednesday after some striking news came out of the Green Bay Packers practice.
According to ESPN's Rob Demovsky, Packers wide receiver Christian Watson has joined fellow wide receiver Romeo Doubs on the injury report leading up to Sunday's game.
Both wide receive were held out of Wednesday's practice with reported hamstring injuries. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur noted that he will give the two players the whole week to determine what their status will be for Sunday while speaking with reporters after practice.
The secondary for the Chicago Bears already received one huge boost today after head coach Matt Eberflus told reporters that he expects safety Jaquan Brisker to play in Sunday's matchup against the Packers. Brisker was listed as a limited participant according to Wednesday's injury report.
Brisker has been sidelined the last few weeks with a soft tissue injury but now believes he is feeling much better going into this weekend's game. The Bears secondary will finally be back to full strength after dealing with various injuries last season.
Chicago's roster as a whole is expected to be close to 100% barring anything that could happen as the week continues, outside of guard Teven Jenkins who was placed on the injured reserve last week.
Linebacker Dylan Cole did not participate in practice on Wednesday with the official injury report listing a hamstring injury while safety Eddie Jackson and defensive lineman DeMarcus Walker joined Brisker as limited participants.
As for the Packers, potentially being without Watson and Doubs on Sunday could be a massive blow for the team's offense that the Bears will look to take advantage of.
