The NFL released the 2025 Pro Bowl rosters on Tuesday and the clearest snub of the year came from the NFC not having Chicago Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright among the four cornerbacks selected.

Those four cornerbacks included Carolina Panthers Jaycee Horn, Seattle Seahawks’ Devon Witherspoon, and two Philadelphia Eagles in Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell. Wright led all cornerbacks in the final fan votes, which was released to the public on Monday.

Nahshon Wright was robbed of making the Pro Bowl and an NFC North foe feels the same way

It’s a travesty that Wright was left off the list and continues to show how the Pro Bowl voting is rarely anything more than a popularity contest, even within the league. The final votes are split between fans, players, and coaches with each section counting as one-third.

Considering Wright led his position in fan votes, that means players and coaches in the NFL felt differently. Well, except for one notable player who came out to show his support for Wright after being left off the final roster.

“(Nahshon) Wright getting snubbed for first team pro bowl selection is crazy!!” Green Bay Packers star pass rusher Micah Parsons posted on X soon after the rosters were revealed.

Nahshon Wright’s season was filled with a mixed bag of highs and lows

While it’s true the Pro Bowl has turned into a popularity contest, making things difficult for a lesser-known player like Wright to get in, Wright made some impactful plays on big stages all season.

Wright leads the NFL in takeaways this season with five interceptions, two forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. It’s a season not even the Bears expected out of the fifth-year player after signing him to a one-year deal as a depth player in the secondary.

Yet, the amount of injuries Chicago suffered at the position opened the opportunity for Wright to make a name for himself and he certainly did. And it set him up for a pretty solid pay day after the 2025 season, even if he was left off the initial Pro Bowl roster.

Looking at this rationally from the eyes of players and coaches, as good as Wright was taking the ball away in 2025, he was also a liability in coverage for the majority of the season and a player opposing offenses were comfortable targeting on a weekly basis.

Wright allowed a 60.6 reception percentage, which ranked 9th among cornerbacks with 500+ coverage snaps, and was second among all cornerbacks with seven touchdowns allowed in coverage.

Yet, it’s clear not every player felt that way and held the coverage concerns against Wright after seeing Parsons’ reaction. You love to see a bitter rival still give flowers when it’s due.
