It's unclear if the latest New England Patriots news is good or bad for the Chicago Bears.
The Bears face the Patriots on Monday Night Football this week. And there's a chance that New England quarterback Mac Jones will be back on the field for the Patriots.
According to ESPN, Jones is expected to be available for the Patriots on Monday night.
Jones has missed the last three weeks with a high ankle sprain.
New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones expects to be available for the team's "Monday Night Football" game against the visiting Chicago Bears, sources told ESPN.

If Jones is healthy enough to play, he'll remain the starter, despite rookie quarterback Bailey Zappe going 2-0 in two starts with Jones out (Brian Hoyer started one game in place of Jones and the Patriots lost).
New England is 1-2 when Jones starts.
Now, to be fair, Zappe's starts were against the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions, while Jones' starts were against the Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Baltimore Ravens.
But there's still a case to be made that Zappe has been the better quarterback (he passed for 309 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions against the Browns this past weekend).
Jones has thrown five interceptions this season in 97 attempts while Zappe has thrown just one interception in 70 attempts.
So which quarterback would the Bears prefer to face?
I'm not sure there's a good answer. The Patriots believe in Jones, but Zappe has been better lately. It could be good that Chicago is avoiding Zappe. Or maybe Jones comes back and plays at a higher level.
Either way, the Bears have to make sure they're prepared for both quarterbacks because it sounds like New England won't be revealing its plans before game time.
