The Chicago Bears were watching Sunday’s NFL action from the comfort of their own homes as the team enjoyed the last day of the bye week. Without Chicago in action, fans resorted to watching a pair of former Bears square off against each other.

It wasn’t the most exciting game of the day, but Sunday’s matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens stirred some interest in the Windy City.

Former standout linebacker Roquan Smith stars in the middle of Baltimore’s defense while former Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky was thrust into action following a concussion to Kenny Pickett.

Bears fans weren’t surprised to see Smith get the better of this particular matchup. He finished the day with six tackles, one sack, and this interception tossed by Trubisky.

Following the game Smith bluntly discussed the interception.

"He made a throw, and he has to pay for it. So, he did."

Trubisky finished the day 22-of-30 passing for 276 yards, one touchdown, but three interceptions. While Bears fans might miss Smith’s production on defense, this vintage Trubisky would not have gone over well in Chicago.

As soon as Sunday’s action comes to a close, the Bears will begin preparation for a home matchup with the high-flying Philadelphia Eagles slated for Sunday at noon.
