The first round of the 2022 NFL Draft might have been the craziest we've ever seen.

And the Chicago Bears were spectators for the whole thing.

The first round featured nine draft night trades (plus there were 11 first-round related trades before the draft). Chicago, however, didn't make a trade to get back into the first round. Instead, they'll make their first pick on Friday night when the No. 39 pick rolls around.

Chicago also has the No. 48 pick in the second round and the No. 71 pick in the third round. So we'll see the Bears make three selections on Friday night — unless they make a trade.

So who are the top options for Chicago in the second round?

While we obviously saw a lot of talented players selected on Thursday night, there are still a lot of really good players available.

Here are the top 10 options (that would address team needs) for the Bears in the second round.

Western Michigan wide receiver Skyy Moore runs by Nevada defensive tackle Dom Peterson during the first half of the Quick Lane Bowl on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, at Ford Field. Quick Lane

  1. Andrew Booth — Cornerback — Clemson
  2. Skyy Moore — Wide Receiver — Western Michigan
  3. Arnold Ebiketie — Defensive End — Penn State
  4. Christian Watson — Wide Receiver — North Dakota State
  5. Kyler Gordon — Cornerback – Washington
  6. George Pickens — Wide Receiver — Georgia
  7. Bernhard Raimann — Offensive Tackle — Central Michigan
  8. Roger McCreary — Cornerback — Auburn
  9. David Ojabo — Outside Linebacker — Michigan
  10. Boye Mafe — Outside Linebacker — Minnesota

The Bears should be able to get a quality wide receiver and a quality cornerback in the second round. They could also take a swing at a pass rusher to help replace Khalil Mack.

If Chicago wants to take an offensive lineman, they may have to wait until the third round, as there aren't a lot of good options in the second-round range.

Ultimately, it will depend on how the picks in front of Chicago play out, but the Bears are in a great position to land a couple of really good players with first-round talent that could contribute immediately.
