The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl in heartbreaking fashion if you're not a fan of the team. They let the San Francisco 49ers choose to have the ball first in overtime, make a field goal thinking that would let them win, and then walked it off with a touchdown with three seconds left to play still.
This led to the 49ers and their players to turn on one another. Now, they are calling each other out for missed assignments and who messed up where or who lost them the game. If you're a Chiefs fan, it has to be a great thing to see. If you're a 49ers fan, well, it has to be tough.
The Chiefs have a way of making other teams crumble, and by other teams, I mean the 49ers twice and the Philadelphia Eagles. Last year, the same thing happened to the Eagles, where they had no choice but to blame the field conditions for their loss, the same conditions that the Chiefs also played on.
After the Super Bowl win on Sunday, a tweet from a 49ers player came out, and it was him calling out his teammate for a missed assignment that kept the 49ers from scoring a touchdown in overtime and instead kicking the field goal.
49ers offensive lineman Jon Feliciano blamed his teammate Spencer Burford for missing the block that allowed Chris Jones to hit Brock Purdy. Of course, he apologized, but that's certainly not a good look.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs are preparing for a parade, letting each one of their teammates know how appreciative they are of one another. But, if you ask Charvarius Ward, losing the Super Bowl and going home and not celebrating is much, much better, in every single way.
Charvarius Ward claims being on the 49ers is better than winning Super Bowls with the Chiefs
The Chiefs have won two Super Bowls in the last four years.
