It's finally here. Gameday for the epic clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals. For the third time in their young careers, Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow will go at it on the playing field as they slowly build the foundation for what should be a huge rivalry for years to come.
Fortunately for the Bengals, Ja'Marr Chase is expected to play for the first time since Week 7. The superstar wide receiver suffered a hip injury and as he detailed the odd timeline of it earlier in the week, he confirmed he reaggravated it while playing injured two games.
But now, Cincinnati gets its ultimate weapon back. Per Adam Schefter from ESPN, he's expected to play.
That shouldn't be a big surprise considering Chase said he could've played against the Tennessee Titans last Sunday but decided against it because he didn't feel comfortable.
Chase has averaged 86 yards per game and has totaled six touchdowns in seven games played.
Meanwhile, the Bengals are expected to be without RB Joe Mixon as he hasn't cleared the concussion protocol just yet per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Zac Taylor's offense has seen running backs Samaje Perine and Trayvon Williams step up over the last couple of weeks. But as the complete back that he is, there's no question the Bengals will miss Mixon on this one.
The last time that Joe Mixon played a full game, he scored five touchdowns for the Bengals against the Carolina Panthers.
