The Cincinnati Bengals made five straight playoff appearances to start the 2010s. The first three appearances featured offenses ran by Jay Gruden, a first-time offensive coordinator looking to get out of his older brother Jon's shadow.

Gruden turned three quality years in Cincinnati into a head coaching job for the Washington football team now known as the Commanders, where he would begin working with quarterback Robert Griffin III.

10 years later, Griffin cooked Gruden on the internet.

During Monday night's wild-card round matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Gruden took to X/Twitter and publicized support for Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who was sacked three times and pressured plenty more.

"If I ever put a QB through what Philly is putting Jalen [Hurts] through, I apologize," Gruden posted. "Pick up a blitz!"

RGIII had fun with that and responded accordingly.

Griffin and Gruden were together in Washington for just the 2014 season, and it was disastrous. Griffin only played in seven games thanks to a dislocated ankle injury he suffered in Week 2, and was sacked 33 times throughout the season. 13.4% of his drop backs resulted in him being sacked! It was far and away the highest percentage out of any starting quarterback that season.

Clearly, Gruden must've forgotten. Griffin reminded him once more.

Washington moved on from Griffin following that season, effectively ending his career as a starter, but Gruden stuck around through 2019 thanks to his fully guaranteed contract from the organization.

Gruden failed as a head coach for another team. Thankfully his time with the Bengals was a lot less detrimental.
