The Cincinnati Bengals are in in the middle of their practice schedule with a crucial Week 5 showdown against the Detroit Lions upon them.

Let’s take a look at where things stand on the latest injury report following Thursday’s practice:

Bengals Thursday injury report

CB Dax HillN.I.R. (Rest) / Knee-/Limited
WR Charlie JonesAchillesDNP/DNP
C Matt LeeKnee-/Limited
DE Shemar StewartAnkleDNP/DNP

Observations

  • Tight end Noah Fant has finally notched a full practice nearly two weeks since suffering a concussion. This is a needed step toward Fant being available to return on Sunday.
  • Defensive end Shemar Stewart (ankle) and wide receiver Charlie Jones (Achilles) were DNPs once again, and it would be unlikely for either of them to play this week at this rate. Stewart did do some work on the rehab field prior to practice.
  • Defensive tackle B.J. Hill (rest) and cornerback Dax Hill (rest) were each limited with half-rest days. The former Hill has been through this every week, but it’s a new development for the latter Hill, whom tore his ACL almost exactly a year ago. Both are starters who should be good to play this week regardless.
  • Center Matt Lee (knee) was limited with a new injury. Lee is the team’s backup C behind Ted Karras.

Observations

  • Cornerback Terrion Arnold (shoulder), who suffered his injury last Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, went full Thursday after being limited Wednesday. He’s on track to play and start against Cincinnati.
  • CB Khalil Dorsey (concussion) was also a full participant and projects to start alongside Arnold with D.J. Reed landing on Injured Reserve earlier in the week.
  • Starting left tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder) and free safety Kerby Joseph (knee) remain out of practice.
