The Cincinnati Bengals took care of one of their best players on Thursday.
Edge rusher Trey Hendrickson, who is going into his third season in Cincinnati, got a one-year extension through the 2025 season.
Hendrickson is fourth in the NFL in sacks since 2020 with 35.5 and he's made the Pro Bowl in both of his previous two seasons with the Bengals.
It's an extension that was well earned, and now the details have come to light.
Hendrickson is getting $21 million in new money which includes an $8 million signing bonus. He gets a raise of $5 million for 2023 and $16 million for the 2025 season. Hendrickson's salary for 2024 remains the same, per Field Yates of ESPN.
If Hendrickson does have 99 problems, money isn't one of them.
