The Seattle Seahawks' social media team attempted to throw some subtle shade this week at Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, but the former LSU standout quickly shut it down.

Seattle's official Instagram account posted a photo of Seahawks defensive back Devon Witherspoon standing over Chase while appearing to taunt the two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver.

The Seahawks lost to the Bengals 17-13 on Sunday. And Chase quickly reminded Seattle of that with his response.

"Lol hold that L," commented the superstar wide receiver.

What a severe lack of self-awareness from the Seahawks' social media team. I can understand posting that photo if Seattle would've won the game, but I can't see posting it after a loss.

Chase may have only had six catches for 80 yards (not a bad game, but far from Chase at his best), but he still left Paycor stadium with a win, unlike Witherspoon and the Seahawks.
