Former Cincinnati Bengals tight end Hayden Hurst headed south during the offseason, signing a three-year deal worth $21.75 million with the Carolina Panthers

Hurst spent the 2022 season with Cincinnati (on a one-year contract) after spending two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons.

The former South Carolina standout apparently had a chip on his shoulder when the Bengals played the Falcons last season because Atlanta "didn't believe" in him a "whole lot".

Hurst referenced Cincinnati's 35-17 win against the Falcons — while giving Joe Burrow and "the boys" a shoutout — during a recent appearance on "Cart Talk" on the Panthers' YouTube channel.

"I got to do it last year playing for Cincinnati," said Hurst. "Got to play against the Falcons — that was fun. Got to run the score up on them a little bit — courtesy of Joey B and the boys. But yeah, it'd be fun. It was one of the reasons why I wanted to sign here (in Carolina) is to get to play those guys (Atlanta) and to showcase what type of player I am because they didn't really believe in me a whole lot."

Despite signing with another franchise, it's clear that Hurst is still a big fan of the locker room in Cincinnati.

Hurst, by the way, caught six passes (tied for his season-high in 2022) for 48 yards in the Bengals' 18-point win against the Falcons last season.
