Before quarterback Joe Burrow joined the Cincinnati Bengals he was winning a Heisman Trophy and a national championship at LSU. In just two seasons with the program, Burrow made himself a legend on campus and throughout the state of Louisiana.

Although he's a big star, Burrow doesn't usually get to sign pre-game autographs for fans. However, as he and the Bengals took on the Saints in New Orleans on Sunday, Burrow took the time to be around the people who especially touched him before entering the NFL.

“I wanted to be available to the people of Louisiana who gave so much to me," said Burrow.

That interaction fueled Burrow against the Saints. He threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns, but it was what he did late in the fourth quarter that was truly impressive.

With the Bengals down two points with just under two minutes to go, the Bengals' top signal-caller found wide receiver, Ja'Marr Chase, for a 60-yard touchdown that put the Bengals up for good and sealed their third victory of the season.

Burrow started the season with a rough four-interception performance against the Steelers. Since then, Burrow has thrown for 1,278 yards with 10 touchdowns and just one interception.

For those who have said that Burrow is on a decline, they might want to think again. He has 14 touchdowns to five interceptions, which is better than the 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions he had at this point in 2021 when he led the Bengals to the Super Bowl.

After a devastating knee injury during his rookie year, Burrow has shown that he is one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL. With the three-headed monster he has at wide receiver, and continued improvements on the offensive line, the former no. 1 overall pick will be carving up defenses for quite a while.
