Thursday's practice for the Cincinnati Bengals is featuring just two of the offense's star receiver trio.
Ja'Marr Chase (back) returned to practice after missing Wednesday's session, but Tee Higgins, who suffered a hamstring injury Wednesday, is not practicing.
Chase fell hard on his back during Cincinnati's 24-18 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football in Week 9. He experienced soreness throughout the remainder of the game, and was held out of Wednesday's practice because of it.
Practicing on Thursday gives him a chance to eventually suit up on Sunday, but unless he goes full for the remainder of the week, he may still end up being a game-time decision.
Higgins' case appears more grim, as a hamstring injury suffered just a handful of days before game day is never ideal. He might be safe to declare as questionable at best for Sunday already.
The same can be said for edge defender Sam Hubbard, who missed his second consecutive practice with an ankle injury. Fortunately, every other player aside from Higgins and Hubbard practiced in some capacity.
Defensive tackle Josh Tupou (shoulder) was limited in his first practice . Linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither (knee) also went limited. Chase was officially limited as well.
Cornerback Jalen Davis (ankle) went full rookie wide receiver/punt returner Charlie Jones (thumb) and cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt (quad). Jones still needs to be officially added back to the active roster from the Reserve/Injured list in order to play on Sunday.
