The Cincinnati Bengals had their game with the Buffalo Bills from Monday canceled due to the events that involved DaMar Hamlin. As a result, the Bengals won the AFC North for the second consecutive season.

Cincinnati had one more task, beating the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, and they did so. Bengals' wide receiver, Tyler Boyd, put an exclamation point on the win with a rather spicy statement as he entered the locker room.

“They ain’t give it to us… We took it," said Boyd.

The former second-round pick has a point.

Cincinnati finished the season winning eight consecutive games. Added to their win on Sunday against the Ravens, who have also clinched a playoff spot, the Bengals defeated the top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs during this span, giving them total confidence going into their rematch with the Ravens in the first round.

Boyd saw his receptions (58) and yards (762) in 2022 drop from a season ago. However, his 13.1 yards per reception was the second-highest of his career and his five touchdowns tied his second-best in any season.

As the Bengals look to carry this momentum into the postseason, Boyd was oozing confidence during a post-game media session.

"It’s the first cigar of many," Boyd said. "The camaraderie and motivation is getting even bigger. It’ll continue to build."

The Bengals are rolling into the playoffs exactly how any team wouldn't want to, playing their best football. When comes to the NFL hierarchy, Cincinnati has placed itself at the top, and they are more than capable of winning the AFC for a second straight season.
