The Cincinnati Bengals are one of the most fun teams in the NFL right now.

Not only do the Bengals play an exciting brand of football — the Joe Burrow to Ja'Marr Chase connection is as good as it gets in the NFL — but they do it with swagger.

The Bengals aren't afraid to face disrespect head-on. In fact, they thrive on it.

Cincinnati's swagger combined with their status as one of the top teams in the AFC has at least one NFL superstar saying he "dislikes" the Bengals.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said on his "New Heights" podcast this past week that it hurts his soul that former KC offensive lineman Orlando Brown Jr signed with the Bengals during free agency.

"It hurts, It hurts my soul, man," said Kelce in reference to Brown landing in Cincinnati. "It's like watching your best friend just turn evil on you. Obviously the past, like, two years we've struggled beating the Bengals, so there's been a lot of build-up in emotion of like, I wouldn't say hate but dislike towards the Bengals because they keep beating us and they keep talking about it every time they do. To see him go to the dark side, it's an awkward feeling."

I have a feeling that the "dark side" could be a rallying cry for the Bengals in 2023.

Kelce was in the thick of the trash talk flying around between Kansas City and Cincy before this past season's AFC Championship Game so it shouldn't be a surprise that he doesn't like the Bengals.

After Kansas City beat Cincinnati in the Super Bowl, Kelce fired back at the "Burrowhead" comments that were made by Bengals players leading up to the big game.

This rivalry is really just getting started. For a generation of young football fans, the Patrick Mahomes vs Joe Burrow rivalry will be their version of Tom Brady vs Peyton Manning. The only difference is that the rivalry between Kansas City and Cincinnati is a bit spicier than the rivalry was between the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts. And that's going to make the next decade even more fun.
