The Cincinnati Bengals will be without one starter in wide receiver Tee Higgins. On defense, things are looking a bit more optimistic.

Per NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, edge defender Trey Hendrickson should be able to play despite a back injury he was listed with this week. Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie will be a game-time decision with his own back injury.

While Awuzie's injury first popped up during Thursday's practice, Hendrickson just missed Friday and was labeled questionable alongside Awuzie.

Hendrickson being active doesn't necessarily mean he'll have a full workload of snaps. Cincinnati has had its full rotation of pass rushers available since Week 3 when Joseph Ossai returned. The Bengals may manage how often Hendrickson is out there.

Hendrickson could also just play through it all with no limitations, which would definitely benefit the Bengals. The two-time Pro Bowl pass rusher is on track for another Pro Bowl this season with 3.5 sacks in four games.

If Awuzie ends up inactive, it would clear the way for rookie DJ Turner II to make his first career start at cornerback. Turner has gotten his feet wet this year while rotating in for Awuzie during the first four weeks, as well as seeing snaps in the slot with Awuzie on the field. Turner has allowed just one reception the eight times he's been targeted on 64 coverage snaps this year.
