We are just over two weeks away from the 2025 NFL Draft and that means rumors are swirling more than ever.

One thing is for sure, most people expect the Tennessee Titans to take Miami QB Cam Ward. After that, the draft really starts with the Cleveland Browns.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter believed early on that the Browns would be taking a quarterback, then he shifted to feeling that the team would be taking Penn State DE Abdul Carter.

“I would handicap Abdul Carter right now as the likely pick at No. 2 today,” Schefter said on “NFL Live” on Wednesday. “We reserve the right to change our mind, a lot of things change. The way this is shaking out to me, it looks like he is tracking to be a Brown. Let’s see how it plays out.”

Adam Schefter shifts to the thought that the Browns will be selecting Colorado Travis Hunter

Schefter has indeed shifted his thoughts again and now believes that the Browns will be using their first pick on the offensive side of the football.

“The latest intel now is that I believe Travis Hunter is the more likely pick at two today, a couple of weeks out of the NFL draft for a couple of different reasons. The Cleveland Browns watched him on Friday at his Pro Day and saw somebody that can move like nobody else.”

Hunter is regarded as the best wide receiver prospect in the draft if he was just a wideout, as well as the best cornerback if he was just a cornerback. The Browns view Hunter as a wideout first, with some possibility to play on defense after that. Hunter caught 96 passes for 1,258 receiving yards and 15 receiving touchdowns with Colorado last season. He put up those numbers while intercepting four passes on the flip side.

“I think he brings them some star power and there are a lot of people who believe he is the single best player in this draft.”

It could be just smoke at this time of year but we do know the Browns and Berry are big fans of Hunter. Cleveland very well may be leaning towards taking the offensive difference-maker with their first pick in the draft
