The Cleveland Browns got some good news on Wednesday in terms of injuries.

After not practicing on Wednesday, S Juan Thornhill, CB Greg Newsome II, and RB Pierre Strong Jr. were back at practice. As already reported earlier today, S Grant Delpit was back at practice too after being designated for a return from the injured reserve.

Amari Cooper is not practicing on Wednesday, but he said that he would be playing on Saturday and the heel wouldn’t stop him from playing against the Texans.

Additionally, K Dustin Hopkins and rookie WR Cedric Tillman did not practice on Wednesday. Hopkins is already noted as unlikely to play and Tillman remains in concussion protocol. The rookie took a hit to the head in last week’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Cleveland looks to be playing the safe game with Cooper, who showed in Week 16 that he can really abuse the Texans. The last time that the Browns’ No. 1 wideout was healthy on the field, he went for 265 receiving yards against the Texans.

If all bodes well for the Browns, Delpit will be officially activated before Saturday’s game and Cleveland will have both starting safeties available.
