ESPN predicts former Browns HC Kevin Stefanski will land in the absolute last place Cleveland fans will want to see
Kevin Stefanski could end up making quite the move across the AFC North.
After six seasons with Kevin Stefanski as the head coach, the Cleveland Browns chose to go in a different direction following the end of the 2025 season.
Stefanski went 45-56 as the head coach in Cleveland — and it was the 8-26 record over the last two seasons that sealed his fate. The Browns’ troubles weren’t solely on Stefanski — which is why he’s receiving head coaching interest right after being fired.
ESPN predicts that Kevin Stefanski is the next head coach of the Baltimore Ravens
Stefanski interviewed with the Ravens last week, as Baltimore looks for its head coach after firing John Harbaugh. Dan Graziano of ESPN predicted that it’ll be the Ravens who hire Stefanski to be their head coach.
“He’s a mid-Atlantic, East Coast guy who would fit in a place like here or New York,” Graziano wrote. “Having Lamar Jackson and a winning culture in place makes Baltimore the most appealing landing spot among the current openings. Stefanski had 13 different starting QBs in Cleveland, but he would get a true franchise passer in Jackson in Baltimore.”
The biggest issue in Cleveland with Stefanski was the lack of ability within the offense over the last two seasons. Cleveland lacks a franchise quarterback — and the Deshaun Watson trade failing is a big part of all of this. If Stefanski were hired by the Ravens, he’d have zero worries of not having a franchise guy behind center.
Stefanski is still just 43 years old and he’s a very smart offensive mind. There were a lot of moving parts in Cleveland for Stefanski to deal with and he won two Coach of the Year awards.
It’s no surprise that the Pennsylvania native looks like he’ll be back on the sidelines next fall. If it’s the Ravens, Cleveland would be seeing its former head coach twice a season. That would be an awkward development coming from Cleveland’s decision to move on from Stefanski.
