It is almost time for the Cleveland Browns to begin their quest for a playoff run.

First up is the Houston Texans in the Wild Card and it is a matchup between two teams that faced off in Week 16. Cleveland defeated the 36-22, though it was a game that C.J. Stroud did not play in due to being in concussion protocol.

Cleveland and Houston kickoff Wild Card weekend on NBC at 4:30 p.m. ET. On the call for the game will be Noah Eagle and Todd Blackledge.

This game is expected to be a much tighter game all around. Stroud will be ready to go for the Texans and Cleveland will have to slow down the soon-to-be Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Amari Cooper broke the Browns’ receiving record for yards in a game against the Texans a few weeks ago. Cooper reeled in 265 yards and two touchdowns from Joe Flacco, who has ignited the Browns’ passing game over the last five games.

Notable injuries for Cleveland

The Browns will be without K Dustin Hopkins against Houston, as he will be sidelined for at least one more week with a hamstring injury. It was the Texans he was hurt against back in Week 16 when he was attempting to make a tackle on a kick return that went for a score.

Cleveland won’t have S Grant Delpit back quite yet, who was designated for a return from the injured reserve. If Cleveland can defeat Houston, I’d expect Delpit to return from his groin injury next week.

Last week in the final regular season game against the Cincinnati Bengals, rookie WR Cedric Tillman obtained a concussion that is going to keep him from playing in the Wild Card.

Cleveland and Houston should be a fun start to Wild Card weekend, where you never know what will happen.
