With Jonathon Cooper, Jonah Elliss, and Nik Bonitto, the Denver Broncos had somewhat of a log jam at the defensive end spot. And, that's not even all of the players they have there that can play, those are just some of the most recognizable.

So, on Monday, a day before the 2024 NFL Trade Deadline, the Broncos traded one of their guys at the position away. They traded away Baron Browning, who is young, very good, but almost never healthy. His being there was hindering the growth of some of the guys they do have, so why not send him somewhere else for some draft capital?

And, that's what they did.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Broncos are sending Browning to the Arizona Cardinals for a sixth-round pick. Shortly after that, they signed Cooper to an extension.

This now frees up space for the others to develop, when Browning is going to continue to miss a chunk of games every season.

Browning is in his fourth year and has played five games this season after playing just 10 last year. Now those young guys can flourish and develop better.

Here is our trade deadline tracker, where you can follow every trade that has happened across the league. The Broncos are coming off of a loss to the Baltimore Ravens and will play the Kansas City Chiefs next week.
