4 Lions that may not be back in Detroit in 2025, including Pro Bowl starter

The Lions now head to the offseason looking to get healthy and looking to build a team that can go out and get themselves back to the playoffs again in 2025. The thing is that not everyone that was here in 2024 could be back again. Here are four guys that may have played their final down in Detroit.
Kevin Zietler
A phenomenal season for Zietler. He became a Pro Bowl alternate and was a true upgrade over Jonah Jackson. If he wants to come back, the Lions probably love to have him. The thing is that he may look to retire. It's been the idea that's been rumbling around for a while now. The Lions only signed him to a one-year deal and we'll have to wait and see what he wants to do before the Lions look to get him on a new deal.
Carlton Davis
You can never have too many cornerbacks and we learned that on Saturday night, but Amik Robertson played so well in that CB1 role that you wonder if the Lions might look to extend him over signing Davis to a new deal. They could do both, but will they look for someone that might be cheaper in March? Keep an eye on this one. I think he should stay, but it's not my money.
Tim Patrick
An amazing story for Patrick. To come back after missing two seasons and play the entire year and be a nice part of the offense was huge. Now you have to wonder if the Lions look to go younger with their X-receiver and maybe draft someone. The reason the Lions had Patrick is because they ignored the receiver position last offseason and they were in desperate need of an extra guy. It's hard to see them doing that two years in a row.
Teddy Bridgewater
I don't think Bridgewater is done in Detroit, but I do think he's done as a player. If I had to put money on anything this offseason, it's that Bridgewater joins the Lions coaching staff. Not sure what that role is, but I just can't see it not happening.
The Lions will consider Jared Goff’s input in the offensive coordinator search, what that means for guys on the inside, and what outside candidates could see interviews
The Detroit Lions are soon expected to be on the lookout for a new offensive coordinator. While Lions head coach Dan Campbell says he has not been told anything yet, he did say that he expects to lose both coordinators. Campbell also said that he believes the Lions have guys on their staff right now […]
