The NFL will release the Detroit Lions' full schedule on Wednesday night, but things are trickling in slowly. Now we've got a big one. A game that everyone is wanting to see. The first showdown between Dan Campbell and Ben Johnson.
Per the Chicago Tribune, the Lions will welcome the Bears into Ford Field in Week 2. Shockingly, this is a 1:00 game and not a primetime matchup.
The Lions will also face the Bears in Week 18 to close out the season. We don't know at this time what time that game will be on. It could potentially be flexed to a primetime game if both teams are in the running for the NFC North around then.
Johnson was the Lions' offensive coordinator for the last three seasons and often gets a ton of credit for the Lions' turnaround from people who don't know ball all that well. ON September 14th, we're going to see the meeting of the minds with Campbell and Johnson, and we'll see who pulls out ahead in the first match.
Will the boo birds be out for Johnson? It's going to be interesting to see how Lions fans respond to Johnson. Especially since some blame him for the loss to the Commanders in the Divisional round.
