Last season, the Detroit Lions were dealing with so many injuries that we created an injury tracker to both help fans keep up with all of them and, to be honest, I needed it for myself too, so that I could keep up with them.

The Lions just started training camp on Sunday, and they're already dealing with enough injuries that it's a good time to build this tracker and keep it updated every time we learn something. So, here's what we know about each injury right now:

RB Sione Vaki

  • Injury: Hamstring
  • What we know: At this time, the Lions have told the media that Vaki is being evaluated for a leg injury.
  • Update: Dan Campbell said on 7/22 that Vaki's injury is a hamstring injury and he's not expected to be out long.

LT Taylor Decker

  • Injury: Shoulder
  • What we know: Decker has been at practice, but has not practiced yet. He's on the Active/PUP. On Sunday, Dan Campbell said that the Lions are hoping to get him back after the Hall of Fame game. He had shoulder surgery to clean things up.

CB Ennis Rakestraw

  • Injury: Chest
  • What we know: Per Campbell, it's nothing serious, and he should be back in a few days. Ian Rappoport reported it was a chest contusion.
  • Update: Rakestraw was at practice on 7/22 and was working off to the side with trainers. Usually, a good sign.

Edge Josh Paschal

  • Injury: Unknown/surgery recovery
  • What we know: Campbell said on Sunday that Paschal had surgery to clean something up, but did not note what that was. The working plan is to have him back in September, around Labor Day.

DT Alim McNeill

  • Injury: ACL
  • What we know: McNeill tore his ACL against the Bills in late December. He is currently on Active/PUP and the expectation floated by the Lions is that he could be back in November.

CB Khalil Dorsey

  • Injury: ACL
  • What we know: Dorsey tore his ACL in December, and the Lions are just waiting for him to be ready to come back. He's on active/PUP right now. No timetable has been given.
  • Update: On 7/22, Campbell said the Lions are hoping to get Dorsey back ahead of the end of training camp.

LB Malcolm Rodriguez

  • Injury: ACL
  • What we know: Rodriguez tore his ACL late in the 2024 season, and the expectation floated by the Lions is that he should be back in November.
  • Update: Campbell said on 7/22 that Rodriguez is expected to be back in October. That's earlier than the original November timetable we got.

DT Mehki Wingo

  • Injury: Knee
  • What we know: Wingo had a season-ending injury in November, and he's been attacking rehab pretty well ever since his surgery. We don't know the timetable for him. He is on Active/PUP
  • Update: On 7/22, Campbell said the Lions expect to have Wingo back in September.

LB Anthony Pittman

  • Injury: Unknown
  • What we know: Campbell included Pittman along with Muhaamad when he said it was just some little things they wanted to make sure about first.

OL Miles Frazier

  • Injury: Knee
  • What we know: At this time, we are not aware of what his injury is or what his timetable is. He is on Active/PUP, so he can come back at any time.
  • Update: On 7/22, Campbell said that Frazier is not expected to be back until September or October.

DL Levi Onwuzurike

  • Injury: ACL
  • What we know: He has a torn ACL and his season is over.

DL Brodric Martin

  • Injury: Foot
  • What we know: No details have been given on his injury at this time.
