The New York Jets are a team in turmoil right now and things aren't going to change unless major changes are made. So far they've fired head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas. Aaron Rodgers is likely the next one to go and probably the most important of them all.
The Jets will be looking for a new GM and head coach this offseason and they have hired former Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum, former Vikings GM Rick Spielman and The 33rd Team to help them in their search for both positions.
Lions DC Aaron Glenn has strong ties to Tannebaum as he played for the Jets during Tannebaum's run in New York from 1997 to 2001. Then Tannebaum hired Glenn to be scout for the Jets after Glenn's playing career ended. Tannebaum has gone on to talk about Glenn and his character on multiple occasions. There is a strong respect and a working relationship there.
That and the Lions defense performing so well lately could have Tannebaum recommending that the Jets not only interview Glenn, but hire him too.
The Commanders had Spielman help out in their coaching search last year and he recommended the team interview Glenn as well. So both those things together could make a big difference. Rick might also be apt to recommend a GM interview for his brother Chris who currently works in the Lions front office.
Glenn is currently expected to be the Saints top choice, but there is bound to be a lot of teams interested in Glenn after this season because he has shown to be a very well liked coordinator and leader of men. It's truly the best way for the Jets to go. Here's their second chance after interviewing him for the head coaching job in 2021. Maybe they get it right this time.

The Detroit Lions are the best team in the NFL right now. I don't think that you can really dispute that at this time. So of course with Pro Bowl voting open, Lions fans may want to attack the ballots and and get in as many of their guys as they can. For the most […]
