The Detroit Lions are done at the 2025 NFL Draft and with their final pick they went back to double up on receivers and triple up on Gerogia guys. They took Dominic Lovett with the 244th pick in the draft.

Lovett is a pretty small receiver at 5-foot-10 and 185 pounds. He's blazing fast with a 4.4 40 and can be a guy who can absolutely be a return man and kind of take on that Kalif Raymond role when the Lions move on from him or he retires. He can also take on a slot receiver role and be like what the Lions may have hoped they'd get out of Isaiah Williams

The Athletic's Dane Brugler had Lovett ranked as his 31st receiver in his scouting guide The Beast. Here's what he had to say about him:

"A two-year starter at Georgia, Lovett worked mostly out of the slot in offensive coordinator Mike Bobo’s scheme (86.5 percent of snaps in the slot in 2024). Although his production was average, he was a reliable target for quarterback Carson Beck the past two seasons and developed under former wide receiver coach Bryan McClendon (now the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ wide receivers coach).

With synchronized shake in his routes, Lovett created quick windows underneath for catch-and-go plays. But he struggled to expand beyond being a singles and doubles hitter, and his average size will be more of an issue working against NFL coverage. Overall, Lovett presents a small-throwing target and likely will be limited to the slot, but he has a fluid stride with solid ball skills to make plays — if given the chance. His speed can be used on special teams, as well."
