Earlier this week, the Detroit Lions announced what their public training camp days would be this summer. For a refresher on that, here's that schedule:

  • Saturday, July 26 at 7:30 A.M. (Lions Loyal members only)
  • Monday, July 28 at 7:30 A.M.
  • Tuesday, July 29 at 7:30 A.M.
  • Sunday, August 3 at 7:30 A.M
  • Monday, August 4 at 5:00 P.M. (Lions Loyal members only)
  • Monday, August 11 at 9:30 A.M. (By invitation only)
  • Wednesday, August 13 at 9:30 with Dolphins (Lions loyal members only)
  • Thursday, August 14, with Dolphins at 9:30
  • Thursday, August 21 with Texans at 9:30

Now we know when the Lions will be reporting for training camp. It won't be the 26th as some have mistakenly reported. The Lions will report much earlier than that.

On Wednesday, July 16, Lions' rookies will report to camp. Three days later, on Saturday, July 19, the veterans will report. Shortly after that, local media will be in the building, and training camp will be in full swing.
