It feels like it’s been leading to that possibility all week. His reps at practice have consistently gone up, and defensive coordinator Kelvin Shepperd said Thursday that he had already seen enough from McNeill to know that he was ready to go. Now it’s all going to depend on how he finishes out the week of practice, according to Lions head coach Dan Campbell.

“We’ve talked about it. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. Man, I think right now is probably 50/50, you know. I know he wants to play, but we want to be smart too. So this will be one of those decisions we’ll probably make after practice.”

Campbell talked about how the Lions have a lot of data on him and how he looks healthy and mentally good to go right now, but he also said that the Lions want to be smart and not rush him back in if they don’t have to just yet. So we’ll see what happens when game designations come out at 4:00 P.M. Eastern time.
