It seems like the Green Bay Packers will make the most out of their bye. Coming back to practice, almost every player on the 53-man roster was available to some degree. The only non-participant was defensive lineman Colby Wooden.

Cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee), defensive tackle Kenny Clark (toe), running back Josh Jacobs (quadricep), running back MarShawn Lloyd (ankle/hamstring), center Josh Myers (wrist), and safety Evan Williams (hamstring) were all limited.

They started to work in preparation for the Chicago Bears — the Packers still have an open roster spot since trading Preston Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of the deadline.

The three players who missed the Detroit Lions game in Week 9 because of injury were back — Jaire Alexander (knee), Evan Williams (hamstring), and Josh Myers (wrist). On Monday, head coach Matt LaFleur had mentioned the team is optimistic about having them against the Bears.

Return

Moreover, rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd is back at practice, as his 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve has been opened. It doesn't necessarily mean he will be available to play against the Bears, but there is a chance.

It's not clear at this point what the Packers will do with the open roster spot. They can activate Lloyd, promote a player from the practice squad, sign an external free agent, or keep it open until Lloyd is healthy to play.

Other side

The Chicago Bears are not as healthy as the Packers, though. Head coach Matt Eberflus said that safety Jaquan Brisker will remain out this week — he suffered a concussion on October 6 (Week 5), which is his third diagnosed concussion in the NFL.

Left guard Teven Jenkins (ankle) and edge rusher Montez Sweat (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday either. On the other hand, left tackle Braxton Jones and right tackle Darnell Wright were both back at practice.
