The Green Bay Packers will be without first-round rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden against the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition to fellow receiver Jayden Reed (still on injured reserve due to a broken collarbone) and tight end Tucker Kraft (out for the season with an ACL injury), Golden is out due to a shoulder injury he suffered last week.

Matthew Golden pushed to play, but the Packers felt he wasn’t ready and decided to be cautious. On the other hand, Dontayvion Wicks is back from a calf injury, and rookie third-rounder Savion Williams is also active despite being listed as questionable because of a foot issue.

Wide receiver question marks

First-round rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden left the Carolina Panthers game last week with a shoulder injury. He was limited at practice on Thursday, but missed the activities on Friday and Saturday, which led to his designation as questionable to play. Now, he’s officially inactive.

Dontayvion Wicks had suffered a calf injury during practice and missed the past three games as a consequence. However, he returned to practice this past week and was limited throughout the entire preparation for the Eagles game. And with a foot injury, third-round rookie Savion Williams did not practice on Thursday, but was able to return in a limited capacity.

Offensive line

Right tackle Zach Tom has battled injuries throughout the season, but for this game he is active and healthy enough to play. After missing a few games earlier this year due to an oblique injury, now he’s handled a back issue — and he’s been on the injury report for the past couple of weeks because of it. Ahead of the Eagles game, Tom was limited on every practice.

Edge defender Lukas Van Ness (foot) and cornerback Nate Hobbs (knee) had already been ruled out on Saturday, and Hobbs is expected to miss at least another week as well.
