Packers face a tough hand with complicated injury breaks leaving everything up in the air before a massive Bears matchup
Green Bay Packers released their final injury report ahead of the Bears game on Saturday night, and it has 10 players listed as questionable.
Everything feels up in the air for the Green Bay Packers in regards to injury updates ahead of the big Chicago Bears game on Saturday night. Outside of Micah Parsons, who has been placed on injured reserve, all the impactful pieces handling injury issues still have a shot at playing in Week 16.
The only player who’s on the 53-man roster and has been ruled out with backup tight end Josh Whyle (concussion). Running back MarShawn Lloyd is also technically on the active roster, but it’s just a procedural move and he will be placed on IR back again. Rookie guard John Williams, who’s on the physically unable to perform list, is out as well.
The problem is that several pieces may or may not play, because 10 players are listed as questionable.
Packers players listed as questionable
- RB Chris Brooks (chest)
- EDGE Brenton Cox Jr. (groin) – IR
- EDGE Kingsley Enagbare (illness)
- RB Josh Jacobs (knee)
- T Darian Kinnard (neck)
- EDGE Collin Oliver (hamstring) — PUP
- RT Zach Tom (back/knee)
- WR Christian Watson (chest/shoulder)
- WR Dontayvion Wicks (ankle)
- S Evan Williams (knee)
Who has or doesn’t have good chances
Of these 10 players listed as questionable, Chris Brooks, Darian Kinnard, Christian Watson, and Dontayvion Wicks were limited at practice throughout the week, which means they have better chances of playing. Brenton Cox and Collin Oliver were full participants at practice on Friday, but they still have to be activated to the 53-man roster.
Running back Josh Jacobs, right tackle Zach Tom, and safety Evan Williams did not practice. They are listed as questionable and not doubtful, so that’s promising for their mid-term outlook, but their presence in Saturday’s game is uncertain — head coach Matt LaFleur said the team will give him up to gametime to make a final call.
Kingsley Enagbare didn’t practice on Friday because of an illness.
Positive updates
Edge defender Lukas Van Ness (foot), plus rookie wide receivers Matthew Golden (wrist) and Savion Williams (foot) are off the injury report, in addition to quarterback Jordan Love (left shoulder), which means they are ready to play against the Bears
