The Green Bay Packers will always hold Davante Adams in a special place in their hearts. Fans loved him during his tenure, but his latest comments don't point to a return at any time.

He recently texted with his former teammate, and new Packers running back, Josh Jacobs.

"You go ahead and hold it down in (Green Bay)… I don't think I'll be coming back over there." — Davante Adams

It does not seem like Adams will be making a return to Green Bay. The Packers may be set at wide receiver anyway, with a plethora of budding, young talent at the position. They're excited about their group.

On the show, Kay Adams notes that Jacobs sent the wideout a text asking him about his interest in returning to the Packers. Some think it may have been a joke, but we all know how difficult it is to tell tone through a text message, rather than a phone call.

The former Packers WR did think it was a joke by Jacobs, and he considers the RB a close friend and one of the funniest people he knows. He clearly holds Jacobs in high regards.

Adams also notes that "you never know" when it comes to what will happen in the NFL, but it is clear that a return to GB would not be at the front of his mind if given the opportunity.

For Green Bay, they will focus on building around a young offense with Jordan Love at the helm at quarterback. For the Raiders, their QB situation throwing to Adams is much, much cloudier.

As of now, the top receivers on GB's depth chart are Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Jayden Reed. The Packers are also quite happy with their current, youthful tight end group.
