The All-Pro honors will still be revealed by Associated Press later this month, but safety Xavier McKinney has already been recognized by his impressive first season with the Green Bay Packers.
On Wednesday, the NFL Players Association released the third edition of the annual Players' All-Pro Team, voted by players themselves.
McKinney was named the First-Team All-Pro free safety, beating great players like Detroit Lions' safety Kerby Joseph. The strong safety on the team is Baltimore Ravens' Kyle Hamilton.
It's the second award Xavier McKinney has received after his elite first regular season with the Packers. He was also named a Pro Bowler, alongside running back Josh Jacobs and edge defender Rashan Gary.
The NFLPA asked players across the league to select who had the most impact this season. The players were tasked with voting for the best player at their same position and positions they line up against. Players who missed five or more games as of Week 15 were ineligible. Athletes are prohibited from voting from themselves or their teammates.
Back in the offseason, Xavier McKinney signed a four-year, $67 million contract with the Packers after leaving the New York Giants.
McKinney had eight interceptions this season, second in the league behind Joseph. No other player in the NFL had more than six.
The star safety is under contract with Green Bay through 2027.
