You may as well go ahead and say this weekend, there will be some pretty egregious calls against the Houston Texans and maybe even the Cleveland Browns for a few reasons.

First, well, let's just start with the fact that the officiating this season has been bad in general. It doesn't really matter the team, the game, or who is calling those games; they have pretty much all had bad moments. Just look back a few weeks ago to the Detroit Lions – Dallas Cowboys game for further proof.

The Texans haven't had the best luck with officiating this year, either. In fact, they had a game that the fans felt like they lost because of the officiating. If you have followed this team all year long, you already know where I'm going with this.

In Week 12, the Houston Texans lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars with some pretty egregious calls that went against them. There was the Tank Dell toe tap that would have put the Texans in field goal range to potentially win the game that the refs called out of bounds when it was clearly inbounds.

Then you factor in the three or four other calls that happened that were completely outlandish, and it compiles together a big heap of crap the Texans were dealt.

It truly felt like the Texans were just meant to lose that game, especially when you think about just how badly they beat the Jaguars earlier in the season. Well, Texans fans will love the news for this weekend's playoff game against the Cleveland Browns.

The NFL currently has a crazy storyline going on in Cleveland with former Super Bowl-winning quarterback Joe Flacco, who had been out of the league for a bit in terms of being a starter, but this season has played amazingly. If they win Saturday, they will play his former team in the playoffs.

So, why would the NFL not want the Browns to win?

Just to add fuel to the fire – the Texans have been assigned Clay Martin as their head referee on Saturday, he was the head referee against the Jaguars in Week 12.

In a way, it feels like they are being set up for failure.
